This album is the result of the convergence of several of my interests and passions in life. I wanted to honor the drums and songs as well as the stories and sound effect instruments. I also wanted to create a project that was as enjoyable for adults to listen to as it was for kids... I am an avid birdwatcher. Over the years birds have crept into my songwriting. Once that connection was made I began to notice more and more folktales from around the world featuring birds. The songs and stories included here are just the tip of the iceberg...
